Lt. Governor Jones Meets with Community Members in Habersham

ATLANTA |Yesterday, Lt. Governor Burt Jones was honored to attend a constituent meeting, roundtable discussion and a tour of local businesses in Habersham.
“I want to thank Senator Bo Hatchett for the invitation to be in Habersham,” said Lt. Governor Burt Jones. “Meeting with and supporting our constituents, local businesses, like Habersham Drug, and the boots on the ground in our rural communities is critical to the overall success of our state. It was also great to see the innovation and workforce programs underway at Habersham EMC. Hearing feedback from rural communities and businesses on the issues that are most important to them will continue to be a priority of mine.”
Habersham EMC is a non-profit member-owned cooperative. It provides electricity to the rural areas of Habersham, Hall, White, Stephens, Rabun and Lumpkin Counties. Habersham EMC’s employee 100+ full-time and part-time employees.
Habersham Drug is a local pharmacy providing each customer with personalized attention and services.
