Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG):

Customized Training for Employer Needs: Economic Development divisions at TCSG colleges around the state deliver on-demand, customized training designed to meet the needs of local industries. Whether it’s incumbent worker training for planned facility upgrades, new employee training to meet growing workforce needs, or leadership development, TCSG colleges have the resources and expertise to develop individualized plans to meet corporate needs at the local level.

The Technical College System of Georgia’s Office Workforce Development is the administrator of WorkSource Georgia, the state’s federally-funded employment and training system, working to connect talent with opportunity. These federal funds are part of a grant program called theWorkforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). At a local level, WorkSource Georgia provides WIOA services across the state through 19 local offices. WIOA funds are allotted to individuals or businesses and administered specifically through services geared toward helping disadvantaged citizens obtain meaningful employment. College and Career Academies:

Today, students all over Georgia have access to training in the area of engineering, biomedicine, technology, logistics, robotics and many more of the skills needed to compete in the global market. These students are learning in environments that give them the skills to compete, and with 80 percent of jobs requiring some sort of post-secondary education, the College and Career Academies are working to fulfill that challenge. The College and Career Academies are bringing relevance to a high school student’s education and preparing them for college and their career.
