ATLANTA | Today, Lt. Governor Burt Jones issued a statement on the groundbreaking of the University of Georgia’s Medical School Building.

“Georgia desperately needs an increase in medical providers and workforce throughout,” said Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones. “With today’s groundbreaking, we can begin to take the necessary steps to increase the number of medical professionals and provide high quality and accessible healthcare to all Georgians. I want to thank Governor Kemp, Chancellor Perdue, and President Morehead for their leadership on this issue to help increase educational opportunities for those wishing to serve as a medical provider in Georgia.”
