FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: January 26, 2024

ATLANTA | Today, Lt. Governor Burt Jones issued a statement on the passage of Senate Bill 355, which prohibits Ranked-choice voting, and Senate Bill 358, which clarifies that the State Election Board has the authority to investigate election officials.

“In order to have free and fair elections, Georgians must have the utmost trust in their state’s elections systems. Senate Bills 355 and 358 strengthen our elections process by dispelling ambiguity and increasing public trust with Georgia’s voters. I want to thank Senators Randy Robertson and Max Burns for their leadership on this issue, and I look forward to the House passing these bills and them becoming law.”
