ATLANTA |Today, Lt. Governor Burt Jones and the Georgia Senate denounced the October 7th Hamas attack on Israel and passed Senate Resolution 4EX in support of the state of Israel and the Jewish people.

“Today and every day, the Georgia Senate stands with the people of Israel and our nation’s Jewish Community,” said Lt. Governor Burt Jones. “The horrific events of October 7th have forever changed the lives of our friends in the Jewish community. I condemn Hamas’s terrorist attack and the wave of anti-Semitic acts and speech we have seen in our country since then. This is unacceptable and this hatred and hostile way of thinking will not be tolerated, especially in our universities and places of learning. I unequivocally stand with Israel, our Jewish Community and look forward to working with the Senate and House to get House Bill 30 passed and signed into law.”

“We as a nation and as a state must always stand strong with our allies and this is just a small gesture honoring our alliance with Israel and all of its people,” said Senator Matt Brass (R - Newnan).
