ATLANTA |Today, Lt. Governor Burt Jones announced legislative and citizen appointments to the Joint Study Committee on Dual Enrollment for Highly Skilled Talent at Younger Ages and the Joint Study Committee on Service Delivery Strategy.

“I look forward to these appointees working with our friends in the House on these vital issues,” said Lt. Governor Burt Jones. “Each of these members has experience and expert knowledge on dual enrollment and service delivery issues across the state. I am confident the members addressing dual enrollment will develop important recommendations on how to increase opportunities and participation. I look forward to the members on the service delivery study committee bringing forward recommendations on if and how intergovernmental negotiations can be improved.”

Senate Resolution 175 created both of these joint study committees during the 2023 session. The following members have been appointed to serve:

Joint Study Committee on Dual Enrollment for Highly Skilled Talent at Younger Ages:

  • Senator Matt Brass (R – Newnan) – Chairman
  • Senator Gloria Butler (D – Stone Mountain)
  • Senator Elena Parent (D – Atlanta)
  • Senator Rick Williams (R – Milledgeville)
  • Scott Steiner, President & Chief Executive Officer, Phoebe Putney Health System

Joint Study Committee on Service Delivery Strategy:

  • Senator Frank Ginn (R – Danielsville) – Chairman
  • Senator Max Burns (R – Sylvania)
  • Senator Sheikh Rahman (D – Lawrenceville)
  • Mayor Kurt Ward, City of Braselton
  • Chairman Chris Dockery, Lumpkin County
