Lt. Governor Burt Jones Applauds Passage of Budget Transparency Priority

ATLANTA | Today, Lt. Governor Burt Jones issued a statement applauding the final passage of Senate Bill 366, the Lt. Governor’s budget and tax transparency priority legislation.
“Georgians deserve to have transparency and a clear picture of how their taxpayer dollars are being spent, while knowing which industries receive tax breaks,” said Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones. “The people of Georgia have placed their trust in their elected officials, and we owe it to them to be wise stewards of their hard earned money.”
Senate Bill 366 – Reforms the Georgia General Assembly’s budgeting and appropriations processes to increase efficiency and transparency. The bill also creates a permanent process to annually review tax incentive programs. Sponsored by Senator Chuck Hufstetler (R – Rome).
