Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan Continues to Monitor Coronavirus Situation
ATLANTA (March 10, 2020) | Today, Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan announced the Senate will continue to allow access to the Senate chamber by pastors of the day, Senate pages and guests.
“I am in consultation with Dr. Ben Watson, the Senate appointee to the governor’s Coronavirus Task Force, to develop a plan for the Senate should additional precautions be necessary in regards to COVID-19,” said Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan. “Governor Kemp, DPS Commissioner Toomey and the Coronavirus Task Force are taking all possible care to keep Georgians safe and secure, and we are monitoring the ongoing situation in the Senate as well. Until we receive additional data, the Senate chamber will be open for the people’s business.”
