Lt. Governor Casey Cagle Applauds Senate Passage of the Statewide Water Management Plan

January 18, 2008

(Atlanta, GA) – Lt. Governor Casey Cagle released the following statement regarding the Senate’s passage of the Statewide Water Management plan:

"Today the Senate moved forward on a statewide water plan that is good for our entire state and will meet our long term as well as our short term needs.  Water management is one of the most important issues before the legislature this session and I am very pleased to see our body address this key issue during our first legislative week.  This process has been one of the most inclusive I have seen and we greatly appreciate the hard work of the Georgia Water Council.

“Senators Bulloch and Tolleson deserve a lot of credit for their hard work and dedication to this issue and for working so diligently to keep Senators informed and up-to-date on the process,” said Lt. Governor Casey Cagle.
