Cagle Response to Governor's Announcement of Strategy to Modernize State's IT Infrastructure

December 11, 2007

Lt. Governor Casey Cagle released the following statement regarding Governor Perdue’s announcement today of his strategy to modernize the state’s internet technology infrastructure.

“I applaud Governor Perdue for his leadership in updating our state’s information technology infrastructure.  IT is playing an increasingly more important role in how government provides services, and it is vital that we take the proper steps today to make sure we have the most efficient and secure system to meet the needs of Georgia’s citizens for the future.  I believe that the Governor has the right vision and I am confident that Patrick Moore and the Georgia Technology Authority will do an excellent job of implementing the Governor’s plan,” said Lt. Governor Casey Cagle.
