Lt. Governor Cagle Hires Cucchi to Fill Job Advocate Position

(Atlanta, GA) – Lt. Governor Casey Cagle announced today that Bob Cucchi will fill the Lt. Governor office’s Job Advocate position.

As Job Advocate, Cucchi will focus on managing the Lt. Governor's involvement in bringing new employers to Georgia and reach out to the economic development community.  He will also help the Lt. Governor to develop and work to pass a policy agenda that promotes job growth in Georgia by improving the business climate and our state’s healthcare, transportation and education infrastructure.

Cucchi most recently served as the Regional Director of Ford’s Government Affairs staff. During his time at Ford he secured over $600 million in state and local incentives from 2001 to 2007 for proposed business initiatives in a ten state region. Additionally, he directed Ford and TRW’s community relations outreach in Atlanta where Ford’s community giving neared $500,000 and reached over 80 community based groups each year. Prior to his work at Ford, he was the Southern Regional Manager of the Communications Staff at TRW, Inc.  Cucchireceived his Bachelor degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan and his Masters degree in Political Science from Wayne State University.  He is active in his community and resides in Dunwoody with his wife, Kate.
