Lt. Governor Cagle Appoints Nashville's Keith Stone to Regional Planning Council

The office of Lt. Governor Casey Cagle announced Keith Stone has been appointed to serve on the Council of Regional Commissions serving the
"Keith is an outstanding, bright and capable leader who I am grateful to have serving my office in this capacity," said Lt. Governor Casey Cagle. “His passion and experience in community improvement, civic service, and political leadership over the years make him a great asset for south Georgia and its future growth.”
Stone has been a longtime political, business, and community leader serving as Berrien County Republican Party Chairman and First Vice Chairman of the 1st Congressional District GOP. He started his professional career working for his family’s local business in his early twenties. He also devotes time as a Gideon in the

Stone will begin his two-year Council term July 1. The Council was enacted by the General Assembly passing House Bill 1216 in 2008. The Council will be the official regional planning and development organization for the local governments and citizens in its designated region. The Council will create policy direction for the area’s short and long-term comprehensive planning and serve as liaison between its regional communities and the state government.
