"Today I was pleased that the Senate passed two Constitutional Amendments addressing the concern we hear from our citizens regarding their property taxes - the need for uniformity and predictability from one year to the next. Hardworking Georgians deserve a freeze on their current property tax and the predictability of limited or capped increases. Our action today was simply the right thing to do.
"I commend Senators Rogers and Johnson for their work on this issue and am excited to see the system of property assessments one step closer to being reformed. We look forward to working with the House on this issue as they now take these bills up for consideration."
