• Cheryl Germany, Staff Assistant – Cheryl has been a Legislative Secretary with the State Senate for 10 years. During that time she served in several capacities, working for Sen. Renee Unterman and most recently in the office of Sen. Mitch Seabaugh. Cheryl has received her CPS Certification and is a graduate of Clayton State University.

• Amy Knight, Office Manager – Amy brings a background in finance and accounting to the Lt. Governor’s office. She served as operations and scheduling manager for Cagle’s campaign, a role which she continued to serve in the transition office. She also has 5 years of experience as a financial Controller for Road Atlanta. Amy is a graduate of
• Matt Markham, Speechwriter and Policy Advisor – Matt served on the campaign for Lt. Governor and directed communications for the Lt. Governor’s transition office. His previous political experience includes work in the office of Sen. Paul Coverdell in
• Irene Munn, Legislative Counsel – Irene Munn comes to the Lt. Governor’s office with 18 years of political and legal experience, most recently as an Assistant District Attorney for
• Julie Reagan, Constituent Services Coordinator – Julie has three years of political experience at the state level, serving in legislative roles for Senators John Bulloch and Bill Hamrick. After working in Cagle’s Senate office, she moved over to his Lt. Governor campaign, where she spent a year and a half as Operations and Deputy Finance Director. She then went on to direct constituent services for the transition office. Julie is a graduate of the
• Mildred Slayton, Personal Assistant – Mildred brings over 20 years of experience to the office of Lt. Governor, having served as personal assistant for Lt. Governors Mark Taylor and Pierre Howard. Prior to that, she was office manager and administrative assistant to the chief of staff to Gov. Joe Frank Harris. She is a graduate of
• Terrell Starr, Senior Advisor to the Lt. Governor - Senator Terrell Starr recently retired from the state Legislature after serving more than 35 years in the state Senate. During his distinguished career as a public servant, Senator Starr served as chairman of several influential committees as well as President Pro Tempore of the Senate. A lifetime resident of Clayton County, he attended Clayton County public schools and is a graduate of Atlanta Law School.
FIELD STAFF
In order to be more easily accessible to citizens throughout Georgia, the Lt. Governor's office has two field representatives serving the state outside the metro Atlanta area. These field representatives attend events and meetings on behalf of the Lt. Governor and are available to assist with issues pertaining to their regions.
• George Lee, South Georgia Field Representative (404) 831-1247 –George joins the staff after a long and distinguished career with UGA’s Cooperative Extension Service. He retired as a 4-H program development coordinator and currently lives in Tifton. George represents the Lt. Governor in all of central and south Georgia, including the Georgia coast.
• Dennis Pitts, North Georgia Field Representative (404) 290-5550 - Dennis joins the staff after a successful business career, retiring as President and CFO of Minit Save Food Stores and Pitts Management Group. He is also a former Hall County Commissioner and currently lives in Gainesville. Dennis represents the Lt. Governor in all of north and east Georgia, including Athens, Augusta and parts of central Georgia.
